Miami Vice 2006
Despite the movie’s attempt to differentiate itself from its 80s TV origins, Miami Vice shares many of the same characteristics as its parent: beautiful people, locale, cars, and trendy music. The plot was convoluted and the dialogue unintelligble – either the actors mumbled, had a heavy accent, or in most cases, had both – but the actors just looked so cool - despite Jamie Foxx’s geometric hair and Colin Farrell’s modern day mullet. Overall, the movie is no better than your average summer studio blockbuster, but you will not see another one with better styles, visuals, and atmosphere.
