iTunes 7.1 Released

Again, I will preface this post by stating that 99% of this blog’s visitors arrive here after searching for iTunes/iPod troubleshooting tips. So I thought some of them might find this information useful.

Apple released iTunes 7.1 on Monday, and it contains several feature updates. The most noteworthy of them are full-screen Cover Flow and support for Apple TV. It should be noted that this version still does not fully support Windows Vista, although it resolves several issues with Vista and iTunes.

You can read about all the new features in iTunes 7.1 over at iLounge.

As a guy who just moved to Vista, I’m not terribly excited about Apple dragging their feet on this problem. It is true that my iTunes will not play. Not platform changing mad, but the clock is ticking… This is somehing i might have expected four or five years ago, but now I sincerely can’t tell if it’s poor customer service or if they’re just being passive aggressive. I will note that it’s led me to the decision not to purchase an more music on iTunes in anticipation of a platform hop.

I just hate the thought of saying “I need to charge my Zune.”
