Time Flies …

… when you’re not blogging.

Has it been a month, really? Honestly, I didn’t miss blogging all that much. There were a few times I wanted to blog, but those times passed quickly. I had hoped to start blogging again when Esmé arrives, but that will not be until next Friday [June 8. Mark your calendars]. Emily is scheduled for a cesarean on that date. She would prefer a natural birth, but the doctor did not recommend it, due to Esmé’s size. At 34 weeks, she was already 6 pounds [93rd percentile for babies at that age. She's already overachieving!]. So, right about now, Esmé’s nearing the 9 pound mark. So, yeah, big baby. At this point, Emily is ready to finish this pregnancy. I don’t blame her. We have the nursery all ready to go. Emily and I managed to put together the crib by ourselves. We’re praying that it won’t just fall apart due to our lack of craftsmanship.

Uh … What else happened? Saw a bunch of movies. The best one by far was Hot Fuzz. Go see it. I’m trying to get as much moving watching as possible before the big arrival. I’m already resigned to missing all the blockbusters released after next Friday. I’m going to love Netflix on a whole new level.

I guess if I learned anything about blogging during my time off is that I shouldn’t worry about re-posting amusing and absurd links from Digg and YouTube. I have to keep reminding myself that this is my blog, and that no one is forcing you to read it. I found it interesting that my readership didn’t totally flatline during the past 30-days. It was steady at about a dozen visitors per day.

Oh, and I should also mention that Apple released iTunes 7.2 this week. The only significant new feature is “iTunes Plus”, which allows you to buy unprotected songs from the iTunes Store and also convert all your protected songs into unprotected ones, if the songs happen to be by EMI artists, that is.

And finally, here’s the video from my favorite German trance/dance group’s, Groove Coverage, cover of Bad Religion’s “21st Century Digital Boy”, called “21st Century Digital Girl”.
