The Best Laid Plans …

So Emily awoke at approximately 4 am this morning with some abdominal pains, which turned out to be contractions. The contractions lasted through the early morning, and we called the doctor at seven. The doctor didn’t sound at all worried and told us to just relax, which was small comfort to us. I started to leave for work, but about 5 miles out, I decided to go back home and work from there so I would be at home in case the contractions got worst. The contractions subsided somewhat, but we received another call from the doctor at about 10:30 informing us that she is moving the cesarean to 10 am tomorrow morning. So … Yeah. We’re having a baby tomorrow at 10. I’m freaking out right now, but not as much as earlier. We basically had 4 days of planning and packing we have to compress into one day.

It’s going to be a long rest of the day.
